Publicity Campaign

To take our August advertising one step further we now have created a "Supporters Club" for our publicity launch, and it could be coming your way. Our plan is to send out our newly created and very official badges (Thanks to Face Value Badges, another Young Enterprise Company, great quality and great service) to entrepreneurs of New Zealand. About Us

Kei Te Pai is a company comprising seven Year 12 students from Opotiki College. Our team possesses many individual talents and skills and almost the whole team has come from a Maori background which has helped immensely with our final concept.

We think our product is timely and will be a big hit both in the tourism and education markets because we believe that many people are curious about the Maori way of life.

Our Product - Kei te Pai on the Marae

Well here we have the art work for our product although the filming and editing will not be completed until the end of the holidays. If you revisit our site next term you will be able to view part of the video to see the quality of our product.

Eighty percent of our school community is Maori and six of the seven members of Kei Te Pai are Maori so it was essential for us to look for a product which would reflect our ethnicity and if possible reflect the beautiful area in which we live, which is very rich in Maori history.

After much discussion and brainstorming we are all 100% behind our decision to produce an educational, innovative, exciting and high quality DVD, which will be used to “demystify and simplify” the Maori culture and Marae protocols for people who lack the knowledge of things Maori.

The DVD will include information about:
Traditional Maori kai (food)
Cultural History
Basic Te Reo Maori
Kapa Haka
Marae structure
Manu Korero
Kingitanga
Marae protocols

The video will also have an animated cartoon tutorial which will appear throughout the DVD and act as a guide teaching the viewer what to expect from marae culture, how things are done and why. The style will be light and user friendly. It will feature an easy to use selection page which can be used to navigate through the DVD to the specific categories that you require.
